In his keynote address, titled "How to Build Responsible AI Solutions for Patient Care” Dr. Hong will share insights and lessons learned from developing AI strategies drawing on best practices and recent innovations at Medtronic Endoscopy.

Dr. Ha Hong is an industry leader in artificial intelligence with a track record of inventing and delivering breakthrough technologies in the medical device field. As the Chief AI Officer at Medtronic Endoscopy, he oversees AI R&D and strategy, emphasizing building responsible AI solutions for patient care. Before joining Medtronic, he was a founding team member and the Chief Architect at Caption Health, which GE Healthcare acquired. At Caption Health, he led R&D, including the development of the first commercially available AI navigation system for cardiac ultrasound examination.
Dr. Hong holds a Ph.D. in Medical Engineering and Medical Physics from the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Program, completed the CIfAR Neural Computation and Adaptive Perception Program at the University of Toronto, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).
