We are excited to announce the inaugural MICCAI Doctoral Consortium, a new addition to MICCAI 2025! This initiative, led by the MICCAI Student Board (MSB), is designed to spotlight the work of PhD students and recent graduates, providing them with a unique platform to present their research, engage in scholarly dialogue, and expand their professional networks.
What to Expect
The Doctoral Consortium offers a multi-format experience focused on academic exchange, feedback, and career development through:
- Doctoral Research Poster Presentation
Showcase the core ideas of your doctoral research through a poster session during the main conference. Receive valuable feedback from experts and peers in the MICCAI community.
- PhD Thesis Madness Competition
Selected participants will deliver a 3-minute oral presentation of their PhD thesis during a lunch event on Day 2 of the main conference. The best presentations will be recognized with the Best PhD Thesis Award at the MICCAI closing ceremony.
- MICCAI Emerging Scholars Collection
All accepted participants will be featured in a digital collection hosted by the MICCAI Society and the MICCAI Student Board—enhancing visibility to academia and industry professionals.
- Publication Opportunity
The 8-page research reports submitted to the consortium are tentatively planned for publication in the MICCAI 2025 Doctoral Consortium Proceedings as part of the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series (subject to final confirmation).
Eligibility
Final-year PhD students or recent PhD graduates (within the past year).
