MICCAI 2025 Conference Awards and Grants

Each year, researchers and scientists are eligible to receive financial support to attend the annual MICCAI conference in the form of awards and grants.

Applications for the MICCAI Registration and Travel Grants are now being accepted!

Eligible applicants must apply as early as possible. The adjudication and notification process will be carried out on a rolling basis, to allow time for the grant recipients to make travel arrangements and obtain visas to the host country if needed. Grants are intended to support in-person participation in the MICCAI conference. If a selected grant recipient is not able to attend the conference in person, the grant will go to the next candidate on the ranked list.

Please review the information to determine if you are eligible.

MICCAI Registration and Travel Grants

The MICCAI Society is pleased to provide financial support to members of the MICCAI Community who are from diverse and underserved backgrounds and want to attend the annual MICCAI conference. Diversity, in this case, encompasses a wide range of characteristics in the scientific community including, but not limited to, underrepresented gender and racial/ethnic groups, differing abilities, lower-income countries and countries where few papers are received at MICCAI conferences.

Recipients of the MICCAI Society Registration Grants will receive waiver codes to cover main conference and satellite event registrations plus a one-year MICCAI Society membership fee.

Recipients of the MICCAI Society Travel Grants will receive financial support of up to $2,500 per grant to use towards conference registration, MICCAI membership, lodging, and travel costs.

For more details, please refer to the MICCAI Society Registration and Travel Grants Guidelines

Eligibility

All members of the MICCAI community are eligible to apply. Selection will be based on the following priorities:

  • Authors of a paper accepted at the MICCAI conference
  • Candidates who are current students, young scientist or early-career scientists
  • Candidates from underrepresented groups (see more details)

RISE Travel Grants

RISE-MICCAI has received a generous donation to support the RISE Travel Grants. A total of 5 grants for up to $2,500/award will be awarded to pay for conference registration fees, accommodations and travel costs as well as a one-year MICCAI Society membership.

To be eligible, applicants must be presenting a paper at MICCAI 2025 and from a low- to middle-income country (LMIC) or from an underrepresented country.

MIRASOL Travel Grants

The organizers of the MIRASOL Workshop are collaborating with the MICCAI Society to supplement conference registration costs, provide travel stipends and offer best paper awards. The MIRASOL Travel Grants are intended for exceptional LMICs researchers from under-represented regions and global researchers who may need support to participate in the MIRASOL Workshop at MICCAI 2025 and contribute their research.

To be eligible, applicants must submit a paper to the workshop by the workshop deadline and be either a current student, postdoctoral trainee, resident/fellow, or an early-career scientist.

NIH Registration Grants

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Registration Grants provide funding to USA-based students and early career scientists to attend the MICCAI 2025 conference. The grants aim to support young investigators based in the USA by providing them with an opportunity to reach an international community for career development and scientific collaborations.

The grants cover in-person MICCAI 2025 conference registration, which includes the main conference and both days of satellite event, and one year of complimentary MICCAI Society membership. Grants will be awarded in the form of registration waiver codes.

Eligibility

All USA-based students and early career scientists (within four years of their terminal degree) are eligible.

For more details, please refer to the NIH Registration Grants Guidelines.
