Dear Researchers,
We are excited to announce the 3rd edition of Open Data at MICCAI 2026! The Open Data session will take place on October 7, 2026, parallel to the main conference. We are happy to announce the call for papers and welcome you to submit your work.
As medical machine learning continues to evolve, access to diverse, representative, and inclusive datasets is essential for addressing global healthcare challenges. The MICCAI Open Data initiative seeks to accelerate collaboration and innovation by promoting the sharing of high-quality medical imaging datasets.
We welcome submissions describing novel datasets, particularly those from the Middle-East and other underrepresented populations or diseases, along with methodologies for data collection, curation, and innovative applications in MICCAI Open Data. All accepted papers will have the opportunity to present a poster at the Open Data session at MICCAI 2026; a selection will be made for oral presentations. All accepted papers will be published in a special issue on MICCAI Open Data 2026 in the MELBA Journal's Resource Track.
Topics of interest for MICCAI 2026 Open Data include, but are not limited to:
We seek assistance from expert reviewers for the MICCAI Open Data initiative. We invite all researchers who have preferably participated in past MICCAI conferences to apply; affinity with publishing or reviewing dataset papers is an advantage. Similar to the main conference, we will be using the Microsoft Conference Management (CMT) System. The paper review will take place between June 19 and July 3, 2026. Each reviewer will be assigned between 2 - 5 papers. The MICCAI Open Data Initiative members will serve as program chairs and meta-reviewers. In recognition of your efforts, your name will be listed in the session proceedings. If you are willing to review, complete the sign-up form: https://forms.gle/BbahV4iJeQRqvXtA9.
