This year all satellite events are required to submit LOI. If you are considering submitting a Workshop proposal for MICCAI 2026, you must send an LOI by December 15, 2025.
Workshop organizers can access the submission form at the MICCAI 2026 CMT link: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/MICCAISAT2026/Submission/Index.
Full proposals are due January 15, 2026.
We are soliciting proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with the MICCAI 2026 Conference. The workshops will take place on October 4 and 8 at the main conference venue and should gather focused groups of researchers to foster engaging discussions and exchange knowledge on a specific area of interest to the MICCAI community.
Due to space and time limitations, and to encourage diverse topic coverage, only a limited number of proposals will be accepted. In cases of small projected attendance or substantial topical overlap, workshops may be merged with other workshops or moved to a separate satellite event.
Workshop organizers are expected to present a clear plan for managing all administrative aspects in line with the selection criteria below and submit the full proposal by January 15, 2026 (23:59 PT).
To submit the full proposal, workshop organizers can access the submission form at the MICCAI 2026 CMT platform: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/MICCAISAT2026/Submission/Index.
Make sure you select the "WORKSHOPS” track in CMT.
The content of the form is included in this call for easier reference.
Due to the limited availability of rooms and internet bandwidth (preventing remote presentations), the submitted workshops will be evaluated on criteria that include:
Note that if the number of registered in-person participants for a workshop is small, we reserve the right to cancel or merge it with other workshops.
While we encourage submissions from all geographic regions, we particularly welcome the proposition of workshops from the Middle East area. Potential organizers may contact the MICCAI 2026 Workshop Team (workshops@miccai2026.org) for assistance in preparing their proposal.
Authors will assign to the MICCAI Society the right to distribute the workshop material to MICCAI members and workshop and conference attendees, independently of the copyright ownership planned by the workshop organizers. It is up to the workshop organizers to obtain the authors' corresponding agreement.
Publishing a proceedings volume is optional and at the discretion of each workshop's organizers. At a minimum, organizers must make abstracts of all accepted presentations publicly available. Organizers who wish to publish MICCAI Springer LNCS proceedings should use OpenReview as the official submission and peer-review platform, to help ensure a rigorous and transparent review process. We will provide short tutorials and step-by-step instructions for creating the OpenReview submission page and configuring tracks.
MICCAI 2026 cannot cover travel arrangements or stipends for workshop organizers, and it cannot provide concessions on registration fees.
The MICCAI 2026 Satellite Events Committee has limited funds to waive registration fees for exceptional speakers, including those from outside the MICCAI community.
Organizers should request a fee waiver with justification by emailing [workshops@miccai2026.org].
Organizers and speakers who plan to attend only their own/participating workshop are still expected to register for the event unless a registration fee waiver has been requested and granted.
