CAMERA-READY SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  1. Authors must use the latest Springer template which includes a "Disclosure of Interests” section at the end of the document. Authors must declare any competing interests or specifically state that the authors have no competing interests in the paper as required by the publisher.
  2. The required naming convention has changed. The submitted file must use the new naming convention specified in the section below.

For the paper to be included in the conference proceedings:
  • The authors must address the minor changes provided by the comments from reviewers and the Area Chair(s); You must include a file entitled 'Changes after review' with a bulleted list of the modifications to the paper. Authors are not allowed to add new results and experiments to the paper.
  • The authors must submit a License-to-Publish form signed by the corresponding author of the paper. Digital signature is not acceptable. The corresponding author, who should match the corresponding author marked on the paper, must have the full right, power, and authority to sign the agreement on behalf of all the authors of the paper and accept responsibility for releasing this material on their behalf. The corresponding author must be available to carry out a proof check of the paper approximately 2 weeks before the conference. Springer will contact the corresponding author when the final proof is ready and the corresponding author will be given a 72-hour timeslot to proof-check the paper. If the corresponding author does not respond within the timeslot given, the paper is automatically considered approved.
  • All accepted papers must be presented physically, in person by an author registered for physical, in-person participation in the conference. The presenting author must complete conference registration by the camera-ready submission deadline (Monday, July 8, 2024). Authors can present multiple papers with a single registration only if they are first authors on all papers. Authors will be asked to submit their conference registration number when submitting camera-ready material.
  • All camera-ready material and the signed License to Publish form must be uploaded to the paper submission system within a single zip file before the camera-ready submission deadline (Monday, July 8, 2024); See details and the camera-ready submission checklist below.
Preparing the Final Version

The proceedings will be published as Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) in both electronic and paper versions by Springer. Please read carefully the information for authors from Springer. You must use the latest version of the LNCS templates (LaTeX2e or Word) available on the Springer website to prepare your paper. The templates are also available in Overleaf. The latest version has a "Disclosure of Interests” section at the end. Authors must declare any competing interests or specifically state that the authors have no competing interests in the paper as required by the publisher.

To accommodate changes requested by the reviewers while also still accommodating additional content that Springer will add to your paper to link to your supplementary material (potentially putting your paper over the original 10-page limit), we will allow your paper to expand to 8½ pages (including figures and tables) + 2 pages for references, leaving room for additional Springer content/formatting. Note that since Springer will re-set your paper with the formatting rules we specified, it is still extremely important that you strictly adhere to the guidelines (i.e., no spaces, no modified margins, no vertical spacing adjustments, no font adjustments, etc.). The program chairs reserve the right to reject papers that are over the 10½ -page limit in the final version, or to reject those that have modified formatting commands in the Springer templates.

All figures are printed in black and white. Colored figures remain in color in the online version. Please make sure that any colored figures are comprehensible in black and white. Springer does not support color in text, tables, or in equations.

Please ensure that Springer's format for bibliographical references is strictly enforced. This is important, for instance, when citing previous MICCAI proceedings.

If you revised your paper title, please make sure to update it on the camera-ready submission form in CMT. Data entered in CMT will be used to prepare the conference program. We will not accommodate any correction request made after the camera-ready submission deadline.

Authors and Publication Names

When listing authors in the author section on your paper, please use "firstname lastname” convention. Do not abbreviate first names. You may include middle initials. For example: John D. Doe. Check with your co-authors to ensure their correct publication names were used and whether or not you should include their middle initials.

If you or your co-author has multiple accepted papers, the name should appear in the same form on all papers.

Please make sure the order of the authors on your paper is the same as is entered into CMT.

If you use LaTeX, please also insert a line % index{Last Name, First Name} for every author of the paper, right after the author{} command.

Camera-Ready Files and Naming Requirements

Camera-ready material must be submitted by Monday, July 8, 2024, 23:59 Pacific Time via CMT. The link to submit the file will be made available to you on June 17, 2024. Your submitted file must adhere to the following naming convention and rules:

  1. You will be asked to submit a single zip archive file containing all your materials. You must name the .zip file MICCAI2024-XXXX.zip, where XXXX is your 4-digit paper submission ID. If your paper ID has less than 4 digits, add zeros in front. For example, MICCAI2024-0123.pdf
  2. You must include the final version of your paper in PDF and the file must be named Paper-XXXX.pdf, where XXXX is your 4-digit paper submission ID.
  3. If you generated your paper using the LaTex template, you must include a folder named LatexSource-XXXX containing all your latex source files. This folder should include the LaTeX2e files (*.tex) for the text, PS/EPS/JPG/PDF/PNG files for all figures and movies, your bibTex file (.bib) if using bibTex, any additional style files and fonts you used, together with your source files that are not generally available at CTAN. Remove all unnecessary files not needed to compile your paper.
  4. If you are using Microsoft Word, you must include your Word file and it must be renamed to Paper-XXXX.docx.
  5. Your filled and signed License to Publish form must be renamed to LicenseToPublish-XXXX.yyy, where yyy is your file extension. It can be a pdf file or an image file. Please note that the License to Publish form must be filled out and signed by the corresponding author on behalf of all authors. Conference name, "MICCAI 2024”, and the volume editors' names are already entered for you. The form must be signed in wet-ink. Digital signature is not acceptable. Please scan your signed form and save it as an image or PDF file.
  6. If you are submitting supplementary material, you must include a folder named SupplementaryFile-XXXX and include all your supplementary files in the folder. If your supplementary material is in PDF format, you do not need to submit source files.
  7. Your "Change After Review” File should be renamed to ChangeAfterReview-XXXX.yyy, where yyy is your file extension. It can be a .pdf file, a .txt file, or a .docx file.

Supplementary Material and Embedding a Video

You may include Electronic Supplementary Material that will be linked to and accessible with your paper. This could be e.g. additional results, tables, figures, movies, code, and appendices containing for instance extended proofs, mathematical derivations, or implementation details that are not essential to the understanding of the submitted paper.

Springer offers authors the option of including embedded videos in their papers. The technical requirements are as follows: Aspect ratio of 16:9 or 4:3, a maximum file size of 25 GB, and a minimum duration of 1 second. The following formats are supported: avi, wmv, mp4, mov, m2p, mp2, mpg, mpeg, flv, mxf, mts, m4v, and 3gp. Authors must not violate privacy and confidentiality rules and, as always, permission must be sought for use of third-party content.

All types of Electronic Supplementary Material, including videos, should be sent within the authors' .zip file. If videos are to be embedded, unequivocal instructions as to their positioning must be included, i.e. to which image or text segment it is to be linked. Please see Section 4.4 "Embedded Videos in Proceedings and Electronic Supplementary Material” in "Instructions for Proceedings Authors” for detailed instructions. These materials must be included within a single .zip file along with your paper submission material as above.

Camera-ready Submission Checklist
  • Information on your CMT Camera-ready submission form is consistent with those on your paper. This includes:
    • Title of your paper
    • Author Names (including spelling and capitalization of names)
    • Order of authors
  • Authors are listed on the paper in "firstname lastname” convention. Do not abbreviate first names. You may include middle initials. For example, John D. Doe.
  • I have designated ONE corresponding author on the camera-ready submission form and on the paper. Springer will be contacting the corresponding author approximately 2 weeks before the conference to carry out a final proof check of the paper.
  • I have included the License to Publish form signed by the corresponding author. (Digital signature is not acceptable.)
  • I have included the final PDF of my camera-ready submission in my .zip folder
  • (Latex user only) I have included %index{Last Name, First Name} for every author of the paper, right after the author{} command.
  • (Latex user only) I have included source files, including the .tex, .bib (if using BibTex), and figure files.
  • (Word user only) I have included my Word file (.docx)
  • I have included my supplementary material in my .zip folder (if submitting supplementary materials)
  • I have named all my files based on the naming convention required: MICCAI2024-XXXX.zip; Paper-XXXX.zip; LicenseToPublish-XXXX.pdf; ChangeAfterReview-XXXX.docx; LatexSource-XXXX (Latex Only); Paper-XXXX.docx (Word only); SupplementaryFile-XXXX (if submitting supplementary materials), where XXXX is your 4-digit paper ID. If your paper ID has less than 4 digits, add zeros in the front.
  • A "Changes after review” file with a bulleted list of the modifications to the paper is included in my .zip file.
  • One of the authors has registered for the conference and I have included the registration number on the camera-ready submission form.
  • I understand that once a paper has been delivered to Springer, both the paper and the author list can not be altered. This includes the authors' names, order, and the corresponding author. Request for corrections will NOT be accommodated after the camera-ready submission deadline.
  • I understand that the purpose of the final proof-check is to correct any potential typesetting error introduced by Springer. Springer will not allow for other corrections to be made to the paper.
  • I understand the corresponding author will only be given a 3-day timeslot to proof-check the paper. If the corresponding author does not respond within the timeslot given, the paper is automatically considered approved.
  • I understand that the information submitted on the CMT form will be used to create the conference program. This includes the paper title, the list and the order of authors. Request for corrections will NOT be accommodated after the camera-ready submission deadline.
